My husband was previously a Filipino citizen, and had it revoked under certain circumstances rendering him now to be solely U.S. citizen. He was married in the Philippines with his ex-wife back when he was still a Filipino citizen (please take note that his ex-wife currently possesses a dual citizenship (Filipino-American); and they divorced in the US several years back.

We got married overseas and we’d want to register our marriage in PSA, but we wonder if we could do it simultaneously while working on the Recognition of Foreign Divorce in the Philippines. Our lawyer has yet to work on the case (due to completing paper works/requirements, apparently) and somehow we can’t just seem to rely on him if we could get this Report of Marriage done prior to the judicial recognition.

Hoping someone could shed some light on our situation.
